Creating a New Email Account

     If you have never set up an email account, the account wizard will auto start at installation
Enter your demographic data
Click Next

     Your Name can be whatever you want it to be
Your Email address is your full email address<
Click Next

     Click Skip to manually configure your account settings

Choose if you are using POP3 or IMAP
Change the Incoming (POP3) and Outgoing (SMTP) server to whatever your email provider has listed
Click Next

Depending on your email provider, user name may need to be changed to the full email address
This system only autofills the first portion
Enter your email account password
Click Next

Congratulations you are set up.
To make changes such as specify port numbers, continue to making changes.

Making Changes to an already existing email account

To make changes to an already existing email account, choose Accounts from the Tools menu
You can also add additional email accounts from this screen by instead choosing ADD.

Select the email account you wish to change
Click Properties
You can also add additional email accounts from this screen by instead choosing ADD.

In General
You can change The account name, Your name displayed in the email, The email address, The address you want people to reply to and if you want to receive email from this email account

In Servers
You can change mail servers, The email address and the email password
If your email provider requires authentication of some sort, you can change that here

If outgoing mail requires authentication, click the radial button and More Settings becomes available
You can then enter your log on information

In Advanced
You can set the server port number
You can choose if you want to leave a copy of messages on the server

From the Tools menu, choose Options

In the Security Tab you can choose your filtering settings
(As a technical support agent- Dont delete the bounced messages, this helps in troubleshooting)
Always check these settings if you are not getting mail you should be receiving.
