Creating a New Email Account

Choose if the account should be set up for multiple people or a single person.
It certainly doesn't hurt to have the system set for multiple people just in case you want to add another user

Choose what directory you want the system to be stored in
Click OK
Click New to create a new user account for pegasus
Create a user name for Pegasus and select if you want that user to have Administrative privileges
The Pegasus user account has now been created
Click Close
Pegasus now requires a log in, provide the system with your Pegasus user name just created
Click Next
Enter your full email address
Click Next
User name will depend on your email provider. Most email providers use the full email address as the user name
Enter your email password
Click Next
Enter the Outgoing (SMTP) server that your email provider has listed
Click Next
Choose your internet connection method
Click Next
Click Finish
If you need to make special configuration changes such as port numbers or authentication continue to changing an account.
Making Changes to an already existing email account
To make changes to an already existing email account, choose Network Configuration from the File menu
In General
You can change the email address and the time out
In Receiving (POP3)
You can change the incoming server port information
The User name may have to be changed to your entire email address if you are having problems connecting
The email password can be changed here
The incoming mail port, the size of the emails you will accept, how often to check for email, if you want to leave a copy or delete the message off the server
In Sending (SMTP)
You can change the outgoing server and the port information
If outgoing mail requires authentication that can be done here
To set up an IMAP account
From the Tools menu, choose IMAP profiles
Click New if setting up a new account
Enter the information provided by your email provider
Spam / Junk mail Filtering
From the Tools menu, choose Mail Filtering rules
You can set up rules to sort junk mail and spam
